Stone-Drew Ashe and Jones is the result of a well-timed merger in 1989.  Prior to that, the company roots date back to the 1950’s.  Ashe & Jones, was formed in 1956, R.C. Stone Company was created in 1959 and later became Stone-Drew Incorporated in 1977.

John P. Ashe and William L. Stone are majority owners of the firm.  SDAJ operates out of 15,000 square foot office and warehouse in the Georgetown industrial neighborhood of Seattle.  In addition, the Company operates a sales office in the greater Spokane area and another in Vancouver, Washington.

The Company represents a diverse and complimentary group of manufacturers and product lines. Average length of representation is 21 years.  Product markets include finish plumbing merchandise, rough plumbing products, architectural specialty components, commodity plumbing material, specialized piping and valve systems and selected water works equipment.

Geographical areas covered, which vary by manufacturer represented, include Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Northern Idaho and Western Montana.

Marketing and sales are directed through established plumbing and architectural specialty distributors.  In addition, a focused specification effort is made with mechanical engineers, architects, municipalities and institutions.  Emphasis on support of the various distribution channels, mechanical and general contractors, and end user customers is also addressed.
